Research

Well -- The topics du jour are ancient machines. So I find myself investigating pile drivers and wheelbarrows. Makes sense, doesn't it? These machines are about as simple as they get. And they serve such basic functions.

Next on the list are the altruistic and ethical propensities of non-human primates and canids. Who knew they had an evolutionary component to them? Makes sense though, when you think about it.

And what about Bee Colony Collapse? I've been reading a fascinating book about that. As well as a book about science writing.

So it's been a reading/researching time here. Which means my kids are busily reading their 30 minutes a night for school and/or providing musical accompaniment each evening.

Phew. School is in session and there's a rhythm to life that's sort of nice.
