Being a Fan Can Kill You?????

Say it ain't so!

A recent study at the Heart Institute of Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles found a spike in heart deaths following Super Bowl XIV in 1980. Four years later, the Raiders were triumphant and there was a slight decrease in heart deaths. Similar patterns have been noted in Europe after soccer matches. Dr. Robert Kloner presented his findings at the American College of Cardiology meeting in LA. These findings led him to suggest that, "practicing relaxation techniques and deep breathing, or talking to their physicians about medication to control anxiety" might be in order for die-hard fans before the big game.
